Job Description:

This is a replacement post as one of our long serving salaried doctors is retiring.

The offer is for a salaried position but, for the right candidate, partnership is likely to follow.

We are looking for about 7 clinical sessions per week, ideally over 5 days.

We will pay your indemnity cover and we offer the usual generous New Contract Ts & Cs.

Hingham Surgery:

We are a dispensing practice (approximately 60% dispensing) of approximately 7550 patients.

Hingham Surgery is a purpose built, GP owned premises, now under notional rent.

Our clinical team consists of a total of 8 GPs (4 WTEs), 5 practice nurses, 2.5 HCAs, 2 clinical pharmacists, mental health practitioners, first contact physio, and social prescriber.

We have weekly GP clinical/educational meetings. We teach year 3 medical students and are Research Active.

Three of our best features:

  1. People. Happy, stable team with friendly atmosphere.
  2. Patients. We are blessed with really lovely patients. Although the list is expanding, we have low turnover. Our patients are appreciative of our efforts. We have a virtuous cycle of satisfied patients, unstressed staff, doctors prepared to “go the extra mile” and everyone feeling they are doing a good job.
  3. Approach. We are efficient. We are on our patients’ side.  We value relationships and continuity. We know our patients.  Our philosophy is to be caring, friendly, efficient and safe.

Performance

High QoF, low emergency admissions, high earning, very high patient satisfaction (see Healthwatch Report and the 2023 GP Patient Survey).

Hingham:

Hingham is a beautiful small town with a Georgian marketplace. It is a thriving town with a primary school, library, pub, co-op supermarket, butcher, and baker. It is close to Norwich and to the excellent state schools of Wymondham.
