Watton Medical Practice is situated just off the A1075 in the bustling town of Watton. The practice is within easy reach of Norwich and Cambridge, and only 20minutes from Thetford and the A11.
We have a practice population of approximately 12,300 patients. We work from modern purpose built premises in the heart of the town and work as a partner within the Breckland Alliance.
We are a forward thinking practice with traditional values and a patient centred approach to medicine. With 10 GP partners (8 from the Breckland Alliance and 2 Practice Specific Partners) and 2 associate GPs working with very strong, nursing, administrative and managerial support teams.
We pride ourselves on providing high quality patient care and recently achieved a GOOD rating from CQC. We work closely in conjunction with our Primary Care Home partner practices as Breckland Alliance; together we care for approximately 45,000 patients. We encourage further study and we have a strong relationship with our CCG and see the development of Primary Care as key to the future of the NHS.
New Doctors to Watton Medical Practice are supported through a GP mentor scheme as we are aware that the transition from trainee to salaried GP or Partner is one that can hold many challenges. We provide protected time every week for training, and clinical meetings to support Clinicians in achieving their CPD requirements.
We offer a package including full indemnity, paid holiday, sickness and study leave, with hours to suit. In return we are looking for a dynamic and caring GP who is motivated to develop a leadership role within a friendly, patient focused team.
