Practice Resilience and WellbeingGeneral Practice is under considerable and unsustainable pressure and it is important that Norfolk and Waveney Practices can evidence the pressures it is currently under, in line with other providers.

GPAS

Therefore Norfolk & Waveney LMC has decided to adopt, GPAS (General Practice Alert State), which is a simple operational system which collects a small amount of anonymised data from practices so that we are able to indicate to the broader system the pressures General Practice is under. This presents data in a simple to understand GPAS traffic light system. GPAS data can be converted into an OPEL assessment (the Operational Pressures Escalation Levels Framework is the framework used by secondary care).
