The LMC in collaboration with the ICB have produced a N&W LMC & N&W ICB Support Guidance SOP for Practices. This provides advice and guidance on different actions which may be taken which are within the boundaries of your contract to support with general practice resilience.
The ICB may consider allowing the practice to have protected time to allow the practice to take stock, enabling them to identify what they need to do, areas of weakness and how they are going to deliver and make the required improvements identified.
This may include working with and receiving advice from other practices who are outstanding/good.
Enabling shared learning, shared training, mentoring and peer support, and examples of good governance.
When you are looking at ways in which you use your staff to support the resilience of your practice it is important that you have robust HR systems and always ensure that you are complying with employment law/legislation.
