Salaried GP (5-8 Sessions) – Fakenham Medical Practice

The Fakenham Medical Practice is an ten-doctor dispensing practice providing care to around 15,000 patients in and around Fakenham in North Norfolk. We are looking for a highly motivated salaried GP to join our established clinical team being an additional resource working in collaboration with other members of the Multidisciplinary team.

The practice has a strong culture of innovation and prides itself in team working and mentoring support. Salaried GPs are supported by one to one mentoring and encouraged to develop their personal interests and supports those wishing to pursue fellowship in their chosen speciality.

We offer many extra services such as a multidisciplinary weight manage service which won the National Obesity forum Annual Award for Excellence in Weight Management. As part of this service we have our own on-site gym. We are also a level 3 research practice.

We have 10 GPs who work closely with an experienced team of 2 Nurse Practitioners, 6 Nurses, 5 Healthcare Assistants, Clinical Pharmacist and a Paramedic Practitioner to ensure the highest level of clinical care for 15,000 patients from our state of the art building. Significant advances have been made in facilitating closer integration with secondary care in developing a comprehensive array of outreach clinics using our own day case operating theatre as well as a mobile diagnostic facility and dedicated consulting rooms.

We work from modern, purpose-built premises. The Partners and staff have a shared belief in the delivery of high quality, traditional personal family healthcare. Patients’ interests are kept very much to the fore and there is a strong commitment to develop patient services. To promote a multi-disciplinary team approach, we share our premises with other providers including a pharmacy, adult social services and local community services e.g. physiotherapy and midwifery.
