We are looking for a full or part-time GP partner (property buy-in is not required) or a salaried GP with a view to partnership offering flexible working arrangements, to join us as soon as possible as a successor to help implement new ways of working. We think we know what we are doing and are organised enough to survive in what the NHS and the CCG is throwing at us but open to ideas and happy to explore other ways of dealing with the daily pressures.

We are a market town in rural Norfolk, easily accessible to the lively cultural city of Norwich and beautiful coastline of North Norfolk. We believe in quality patient care but have also a life outside our practice.

We are a training practice for UEA medical students, Registrars and Physician Associates which we find rewarding and receive excellent feedback from those we have mentored.

Our clinical team work closely together and meet for coffee on a daily basis allowing time to discuss cases and collaborative working in a supportive environment, all with a touch of humour thrown in.

Some features of our Practice are:

1.75 GP partners and 1 salaried GP who is ¾ time plus regular locum sessions

Patient list size of 9000

Well supported by an experienced team including Nurse Prescriber, experienced nursing team who carry out chronic disease reviews and healthcare assistants.

Locality Visiting Nurse Prescriber dedicated to care homes and care of the elderly - that has made a huge impact on our home visiting and our CCG has supported this job by co-financing it.

100% QOF achievement

Last CQC inspection rated as Good

S1 clinical system and electronic prescribing service

On-site 100 hour pharmacy, leased from part of our premises

We work closely with five other practices, forming Mid-Norfolk Locality within South Norfolk CCG (a rather motley bunch but who needs sitcoms if you can go to a CCG meeting !)

Bi-weekly clinical meetings held to discuss individual cases and clinical updates

6 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave, career development encouraged.

We encourage outside interest and offer flexible working, an interest in teaching and someone who can endure the sometimes challenging locals……………..
