We have a unique and interesting opportunity to join our small and friendly, yet highly efficient Executive team based in Wymondham. Our role is to support the Committee in its functions as the statutory representative body for around 850 GPs working within over 100 practices across Norfolk and Waveney.
STP Estates Strategy in relation to the primary care estate is identified by the Strategic Estate Planning service as a key priority for future development. Digital development and initiatives form part of estate development and both are integral to the vision of the General Practice Forward View (GPFV), the Long Term Plan (LTP) and the Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) plans.
Dispensing and pharmacy issues and applications impact general practice and therefore LMC oversight, advice and guidance is required. The post holder will be expected to contribute towards the Norfolk and Suffolk Health and Wellbeing Board’s Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) on behalf of the Committee when requested.
To support a healthy work life balance the post holder will have flexibility in managing their working hours to meet the requirements of the role and attend key meetings e.g. EoE GPFV Delivery Group, the STP Estates work stream and Estates oversight group.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate they meet the essential criteria and whilst meeting a number of desirable criteria would be an advantage, the successful candidate will be actively supported in their development and appropriate training will be provided. We are holding a regional LMCs Primary Care Estates Training event in Cambridge on 12th November that the successful candidate is expected to attend.
A wealth of useful information about the LMC is available on our website. For an informal discussion please contact Mel Benfell or Naomi Woodhouse by email or telephone 01953 608060. To apply please send C.V. and a covering letter to firstname.lastname@example.org
